Zero accidents through zero unsafe behaviors. Do not be complacent that there are no accidents. There may be near miss accidents (NMAs). With luck/chance, somebody escaped knowingly or unknown to the person. But, we can't be safe, if we depend upon the luck.

Safety culture is how the organization behaves when no one is watching.

Rains - corona - transmission

Now that we are having rains, it is pestering my mind about whether the corona virus can be transmitted through splashes from rain water on the road or that whether rain droplets can be carriers.

Recently I attended a webinar and posted this question, but, may be because of many questions posted before, my turn did not come.

From information on net, it is understood that this virus can be active for upto 72 hours on different carriers / surfaces.

May be if these are coming in contact with rain water and then if it splashes because of vehicles passing over the pools of water, we can get affected.

Like, aerosols can be a source, this form of transmission too may be possible.

Corona - lockdown - restricted hours of movement

Governments have imposed restricted hours to conduct personal business. In the initial days, it helped to create awareness among public about the virus, its impact and measures to be taken like, use of mask, social distancing, frequent hand wash, etc.

Continuation of restricted hours, I feel, will lead to increased traffic on roads and crowding in shops as purchases are to be done whether lockdown is there or not. Restriction of hours of business will only lead to all the public who would have done shopping/movement spread in the time period, say 0600-2300 hr to those limited hours. It may be worthwhile to permit shops to be opened 24 hr whomsoever are willing. This can reduce crowds and social distancing can be better.
